One of my favorite subjects to photograph is waterfowl. To be more specific, Ducks. Ducks make great subjects when you’re first starting in wildlife photography. Ducks can be found in most city lakes or even your local park pond. Some ducks are easier to photograph than others. Mallards are a very common species that can be found almost anywhere and tend to be very social. But to capture an image of the more elusive species like the Wood Duck, Teals, or Pintails, you may have to suit up in your camouflage and do a little “hunting”.

This week I want to share some of my favorite images of ducks from around the Dallas area. I hope you enjoy it!
