Tracy and I are very fortunate to have traveled to many amazing places. From the Great Smoky Mountains to the deserts of Arizona, we are truly blessed to witness so much natural beauty. But as the saying goes “There’s no place like home”. We could not agree more. Our love for our home state always draws us back here, and to the Texas Hill Country.

The Texas “Hill Country” is a term applied to the twenty-five counties near the geographical center of Texas. From San Saba to San Antonio, Bandera to Wimberley, the Hill Country has something for everyone. Wildlife abounds everywhere which makes it a haven for wildlife

photographers. In the spring, people flock from all over the United States to experience the amazing wildflowers that blanket the rolling hills and fields with their vibrant colors. Music lovers can visit historic Luckenbach or Gruene Hall. Hikers can trek to the top of Enchanted Rock, the largest pink granite dome in the United States. Don’t worry shoppers. Fredericksburg and Wimberley offer unique boutiques full of local artists’ treasures. If you are looking for a new favorite wine, take in a wine tasting at one of the 52 wineries that call the Hill Country home. Our favorite is the Fiesta Winery. No trip is complete without visiting Wild Seed Farms outside of Fredericksburg, the nation’s largest working wildflower farm. After a busy day of hiking, shopping, and photography return to your very own secluded cabin. Relax in your hot tub with a glass of Hill Country wine and breathe in the wildlife and scenery.
